Description:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a strategic business partner, managing and executing the full cycle recruitment process, collaborating with both HR Business Partners and hiring managers across the organization in order to meet business objectives. This position is responsible for supporting the business by developing and implementing sourcing strategies that lead to the achievement of quality and timely hires. The responsibilities performed by the Talent Acquisition Specialist enable the organization to attract and engage the most qualified individuals necessary to fulfill our mission, core values and strategy. The Talent Acquisition Specialist must understand diverse position requirements across various business areas and be able to translate the requirements into an effective talent search.
Accountabilities:
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers across the organization to understand position requirements and stay abreast of current/future hiring and business needs.
Develop and implement comprehensive and innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies consistent with the organization’s employment brand.
Develop passive candidate pipelines through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches and research.
Effectively build and manage talent outreach using various channels - social media (LinkedIn, Twitter), college recruitment, etc.
Cultivate relationships with hiring managers throughout the organization to ensure quality and timely hires.
Drive the full cycle recruitment process, leveraging industry best practices, to source and engage the appropriate talent for open positions.
Compose job postings using channels that provide the largest response of well-qualified candidates.
Review all resumes in order to select candidates that best match position requirements, referring viable resumes to the hiring manager for consideration.
Coordinate and conduct phone screening and first interviews. Administer pre-employment assessments. Evaluate suitability of candidates, making appropriate referrals to hiring managers.
Coordinate the interview schedule between candidate and hiring manager.
Conduct all credit and background investigation screening. Make determinations regarding candidate’s eligibility for employment.
Submit appropriate employment recommendations, including starting compensation and start date, for approval. Ensure competitive compensation and internal equity standards are exercised in recruitment efforts.
Execute offer negotiation.
Coordinate onboarding of new hires with HR Business Partners.
Monitor and report on recruitment status.
Manage and maintain applicant tracking information to document recruitment activity.
Act as subject matter expert for recruitment related assessments, leading efforts for competency selection and assessment interpretation.
Oversee contingency and temporary assignment searches, and manage contractor agency fee agreements; ensure timely payment of all related expenses.
Proactively seek out industry information and best practices to improve processes.
Propose diversity strategies to attract a diverse talent pool.
Participate and assist in conducting training related to talent acquisition.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations in all UNFCU locations. Ensure satisfactory record keeping by maintaining adequate documentation and filing.

Qualifications:
An incumbent in this position must possess a full range of professional recruiting/sourcing knowledge and best practices and related laws. Experience with full cycle recruitment required. Prior background in leveraging social media sites to identify networking leads and passive talent is required. Work assignments require the use of independent judgment and interpretation when making recommendations to hiring managers. Strong negotiation, coordination and organizational skills required, as well as the ability to interpret pre-employment assessments and credit reports. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage relationships at all levels throughout the organization, are necessary. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
A typical pathway to obtaining the requisite knowledge and skills is graduation from a four-year college or university and 3 years recruitment experience, preferably in a corporate and/or banking/financial services environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and detail orientation required. Must have a professional appearance and a willingness to work flexible hours.
