Description:
This position is responsible for the creation, development and maintenance of the UNFCU websites (including associated micro-sites), electronic campaign components, and online applications. Responsibilities will include daily maintenance and development of the UNFCU websites and marketing campaign components (landing pages, micro-sites, emails), development of web-based applications and application integrations, and maintenance of electronic marketing channels. By working closely with the Marketing team, the Website Developer ensures that all electronic channels remain effective tools promoting UNFCU products and services to members.
Accountabilities:
Full life cycle development of web applications for the website, its end-users and support staff, using web based programming, scripting languages and technologies – C#, VB.net, classic ASP, HTML5, CSS2 and 3, JQuery, Media Queries, JavaScript, MVC, ADO, JSON, Flash, SQL, AJAX, OLE DB
Full life cycle development of online components for marketing campaigns, including landing pages and emails
Provide regular maintenance and development of the website structure, templates and site-wide functionality
Maintain and develop alternative online channels (video, social media, email, digital signage, etc.)
Adhere and enforce the marketing and corporate branding guidelines
Develop secure online forms and applications for corporate internet banking solutions using Microsoft and Adobe suite of products
Assist the Marketing Associates and the lines of business with the development of online initiative functionality, to ensure optimal implementation
Work directly with the Research Team to track effectiveness of online marketing initiatives and projects and provide suggestions for improvements, if necessary
Help develop and implement overall goals for marketing strategy on the web
Understand and follow web/technology trends and usability inside and outside of the financial services industry to improve member experience
Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and functionality of member facing electronic service delivery channels
Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners
Understand UNFCU products, services, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
An incumbent in this position must possess a full range of web design and development experience using different web technologies such as C#, VB.net, classic ASP, HTML5, CSS2 and 3, JQuery, Media Queries, JavaScript, MVC, ADO, JSON, Flash, SQL, AJAX, OLE DB, Facebook canvas applications, cross platform and browser compatibility, SEO, as well as the skills/abilities to fulfill the accountabilities described in this document. Work assignments require the use of strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current online technologies, trends and pricing. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Visual Studio are required. A typical pathway to obtaining the requisite knowledge and skills is graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Graphics Communication-Programming, or a related field, and a minimum of five years experience in web development.
Proficiency in graphic design, flash, content management platforms, statistical analytics and third party email deployment platforms are a plus.
