Description:

Recommends financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals. Provides financial consulting and strategic support to senior management and business heads including preparing management presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, financial performance analysis and other projects requested by senior management.

Accountabilities:

• Assist management with the coordination of funds transfer pricing, cost allocations, expected loss and economic capital, and enterprise risk to reflect regulatory and business requirements.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of costing methodologies and calculations including activity-based costing and transaction-driven cost allocations, productivity and capacity measurement.
• Utilize technical and quantitative methodologies to support strategic planning efforts related to pricing and profitability of banking products by analyzing pricing, profitability, cash flows, and rate distribution, and providing recommendations to maximize same.
• Prepare and analyze product pricing and program financials for financial products and assist in the preparation of management presentations, business reviews, key findings and recommendations.
• Assist in proactively identifying new market opportunities and risk arising from competitive, regulatory and other internal and external factors.
• Evaluate, design, and maintain the AxiomEPM database environment; identify external data sources; retrieve complex data sets; provide data flow diagrams and document the process; write codes for database access and report queries including modifications and re-constructions. Also perform ETL for data.
• Maintain the Balance Sheet and Income Statement hierarchy structure and the determination of appropriate methodologies used to calculate results.
• Interpret data and integrate information with theory, performing ad hoc cost and income analysis to support business units.

Qualifications:

TYPE & AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS or related field with Management Accounting exposure; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 7 years banking experience, with at least 3 years in cost accounting, financial and profitability analysis, and/or financial and managerial reporting at the corporate, customer/member and product levels

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum 2-3 years running an EPM Software (e.g., Oracle, IPS-Sendero, SAP, Tagetik or other)
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL
• Good working knowledge of banking/credit union business lines, products and support functions
• Ability to manipulate large volume of data and summarize key messages to leadership to produce a measurable result
• Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities, cost components and product pricing ability to maintain a Cost Accounting System
• Direct analysis experience with database integration and a range of database platforms with strong knowledge of cataloging and archiving techniques
