Description:
Responsible for collecting, evaluating, and presenting transactional and statistical data related to the functions of the Member Operations Department. Prepares periodic statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. Develops, maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems. Works with Member Operations Management to assess needs and identify data sources as well as provide input for ad hoc requests.
Accountabilities:
• Assist management in identifying and obtaining data for the measurement of key performance indicators for dashboards/scorecards, and to identify opportunities for improvements or adjustments as needed.
• Support the ongoing delivery of dashboards, scorecards, static and interactive reports, data visualizations, data extracts, and other “descriptive analytics” in order to tactically meet the needs of Member Operations stakeholders.
• Coordinate the design and delivery of timely and essential information that allows business owners to monitor results, project future results based on proposed changes, anticipate member needs, and meet strategic objectives.
• Continuously identify and catalog relevant data sources for key transactional and statistical information related to Member Operations.
• Perform research and analysis, generate insights, and translate insights into opportunities; maintains appropriate records of research methods and results.
• Propose recommendations to establish and optimize management information systems as a means of ensuring a highly responsive and value generating organization.
• Continuously learn, compile documentation, and understand the data management systems at UNFCU and provide guidance to end users about available self-service opportunities.
• Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery in order to meet business needs.
• Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value.
• Identify and propose recommendations to capture and review member needs in order for staff to develop a deeper understanding of the current and emergent needs of members to enhance personalized service.
• Use analysis tools to query data repositories and generate reports; compile reports to help business managers make business decisions by identifying trends and patterns in stored operational data found in data warehouses or isolated business databases.
• Stay current with industry trends and advise and educate management on their relative importance and impact.
Qualifications:
TYPE & AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management and 3-5 years of experience in business operations with a focus on data analysis
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to analyze and gather user requirements
• Experience with creating flowcharts and data modeling
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data into meaningful information and actions
• Advanced MS Office and database reporting skills
