Description:

Proactively identifies research and analysis needs required to help the organization best serve its members and remain on the forefront of market trends. Lead and manage the execution of marketing research and analysis to deliver actionable insights to the marketing team, various lines of business and senior management.

Accountabilities:

• Identify and execute research projects that will help the organization develop new products and services to best serve members.

• Develop and apply predictive analytical models to help UNFCU stay ahead of pending market trends.

• Present facts and trends in a compelling way that will resonate with various audiences.

• Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions, and form recommendations.

• Follow economic developments on a regional/global basis and understand the implications for related banking systems.

• Actively assist in the selection of marketing research and analytics software vendors.

• Proactively educate staff about the importance and value of fact-based decision making that utilizes metrics.

• Serve as subject matter expert on UNFCU’s member data and research.

• Ensure the accurate and timely execution of research projects requested by internal marketing teams or lines of business.

Qualifications:

TYPE & AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics or economics, or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency, and 5-7 years of experience in marketing research and/or analytics

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with CRM tools
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to draw insights from data
• Familiarity with both statistical and data visual tools (SPSS, Tableau, etc.)
• Experience with predictive models

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
• Proactive team player with strong problem solving capability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in analyzing large amounts of data
• Strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently with meticulous attention to detail
• Have a general curiosity of consumer behavior

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
• Standard office conditions

In addition to any specific job requirements in connection with Bank Secrecy Act and/or OFAC (BSA), employee must (i) be aware of BSA matters commensurate with the position; (ii) report any suspicious activity to the manager or compliance department; and (iii) satisfactorily complete any required BSA training.
