Description:
Responsible for managing enterprise wide system quality assurance. Ensures the testing of applications meets business requirements without defects and that industry standard testing methodologies are followed.
Accountabilities:
• Help design and implement quality processes for the organization including Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Case Design, Traceability Matrix, Test Execution, and Project Planning deliverables
• Perform functional, regression, online/batch interface testing, data migration testing, data warehouse testing and performance testing
• Evaluate testing practices and define the appropriate test framework (architecture, methodology)
• Responsible for successful software quality assurance (SQA) performance as defined by Project Delivery and Analyze trends for continuous performance improvement
• Manage overall daily operations of the software QA team and environment
• Provide for scheduling of staff and ensuring that team members provide support coverage consistent with meeting project expectations
• Responsible for organizing the business sign-off for the key stages of testing
• Assist business units in developing test cases
• Develop and execute test scripts for existing and future projects
• Responsible for researching, locating, and developing innovative automated testing infrastructures and methodologies and maintaining automation scripts
• Analyze test cases to determine weak and/or untested areas and initiate measures to expand test coverage to address
• Manage development and documentation of standards for implementation of automated testing tools for existing and future projects
• Promote and support the use of testing automation and performance testing on new projects and existing applications and platforms
• Promote flexibility and innovation in utilizing and managing different sourcing strategies, different development approaches (agile, iterative, waterfall) and different methodology for maintaining user requirements
• Responsible for planning and execution of various projects and release testing simultaneously
• Coordinate with both onsite and offshore QA consultants from external vendor and review their test plan and execution results, and provide necessary feedback
• Promote increased usage and standardization of metrics, especially in the areas of test management and defect tracking using Microsoft TFS
• Direct the development and implementation activities of performance testing in accordance with IT policies, procedures, and standards, to ensure that business results are accomplished as specified
• Work closely with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize testing to improve the delivery of reliable applications that meet business requirements without defects
Qualifications:
TYPE & AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Applications and at least 7 or more years of experience in QA process and software testing
• Experience testing in UNIX/Linux environment
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Advanced understanding of software QA methodologies, practices, and processes
• Advanced knowledge of testing tools including Microsoft TFS, Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, Load Runner, JMeter, Selenium etc.
• Very strong knowledge of core banking applications and functional knowledge of financial industry
• Knowledge of standard web technologies, including app servers, web servers, relational databases, browsers, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
